Our apartment is located in the village of Voderlanersbach in Tuxertal, 12 kilometers behind the city of Mayerhofen. There is a ski room just 600 meters from the property - the Zillertal 3000 area, which is a total of 169 kilometers from ski slopes and 80 interconnected ski lifts and chairlifts.

At the top of the Penken you will find the giant downhill run Harakiri, whose average drop is 78%, making it the steepest slope in all of Austria - intended for true ski experts. In contrast, the peaks of Rastkogel and Eggalm with their average difficult slopes satisfy the hobby skier.

Snowboarders are sure to find the local snow parks with their various attractions, such as halfpipe, tables. Slides and other attractions are worth knowing. You can find them on the top of the Penken or on the glacier. Children can let off steam in the children's park on the Eggalm, where they can find the ski carousel, the magic carpet or snow tubing.

The Hintertux glacier - the only year-round ski center in Austria offers perfect skiing conditions 365 days a year - is only 6 km away. The free ski bus, which runs at regular intervals, can be used as transport. The ski bus stop is approx. 500 meters away.

Those who still don't have enough can go on one of the 3 exposed and up to 5 km long sledge slopes, from which there is a wonderful view of the surrounding mountain landscape. A matter of course are daily, through machines, well-maintained ski tracks that run along the river.
